The Institute of Hungarian Research and the Batthyány Society of Professors signed a cooperation agreement. The Institute of Hungarian Research has thus gained a new field of intellectual power (...).

(...) - said Gábor Horváth-Lugossy, Director General of the Institute, about the agreement concluded with the Batthyány Society of Professors on Tuesday afternoon. Miklós Kásler and Lajos Kollár, the president of the civic organisation, who signed the cooperation agreement, said that their alliance aims to create and strengthen Christian civic Hungary and to restore the intellectual and spiritual relations destroyed by communism.

Since its establishment, the Institute of Hungarian Research has been constantly conducting outstanding national research, publishing dozens of volumes that strengthen Hungarian consciousness, and improve our historical knowledge, said Gábor Horváth-Lugossy, citing the results so far. He also said: the number of lectures given at the scientific conferences organised by the Institute has now exceeded 600. "The Huns, the Avars, the Árpáds, the Hunyadi family, the Holy Crown, as well as the heroes who raised the flag and drew arms against the Ottoman and Habsburg Empires, and their historical deeds, all belong to the research field of the Institute of Hungarian Research, which is now expanding with a new intellectual field", said Gábor Horváth-Lugossy about the agreement with the Batthyány Society of Professors.

- Prof. Dr. Miklós Kásler, former Minister and founder of the Institute, emphasized that science and ethics are the link between the Batthyány Society of Professors and the Institute of Hungarian Research after signing the cooperation agreement with the Batthyány Society of Professors.

- Miklós Kásler quoted Márai, pointing to the strenuous work of rebuilding intellectual and cultural life. He also noted that our spiritual and intellectual relations, which were one-sided and manipulated during the past decades of communism, have been recovered. He stressed that class-struggle-based internationalism had no tolerance for a a patriotic world beyond the earthly realm. He said it was important that under the fourth Orbán government, the creation of equal cultural opportunities continues:

WE HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO REINTERPRET HISTORY AND TO REPRESENT OUR TRADITIONS IN LITERATURE. THIS IS NOTHING LESS, HE SAID, THAN THE REMOVAL OF THE DICTATORSHIP OF OPINION.

- "I have always been a supporter of cooperation," Miklós Kásler said, referring to the agreement, and then added that just as the Institute of Hungarian Research brings together a few capable and competent scientists who possess ethics in their own discipline and can take the blows that come their way, science and ethics also connect the Batthyány Society of Professors and the Institute of Hungarian Research.

Lajos Kollár, President of the Batthyány Society of Professors, said of the agreement that they are all working to strengthen Christian Hungary and that they plan to bring together as many NGOs and associations as possible.

INSTITUTE OF HUNGARIAN RESEARCH - BATTHYÁNY SOCIETY OF PROFESSORS

The members of the Batthyány Society of Professors are university professors and researchers who, as a civic organisation, help to promote the national Christian-conservative values in Hungarian society. They also seek answers to social questions of the future and create intellectual workshops to develop, discuss, present and disseminate their ideas and proposals, especially in the fields of culture, science and education policy.

The professor revealed that they will begin their active work in November, when they plan to a conference and also outline the cooperation.
