Published in the daily newspaper Magyar Nemzet, Balázs Ágoston's comprehensive overview entitled “Body and soul of the nation - Hungarians have straightened up after a hundred years of stooping and want to live again" sees the key to the survival of Hungary in the healing of the national soul and the restoration of our national consciousness.

"Man is body and soul at the same time, according to God's order. We can use or abuse this inherent grace with free will, and what our body and soul become is up to us; we also bear the consequences of our choices. A nation is also made up of body and soul. The body of the nation is the physical reality of the people, while the soul of the nation is rooted in the distant past, and just as at the individual level, in this case too, we ourselves shape these two factors. The future depends on us. Hence,

TWO OF THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTIONS FOR THE SURVIVAL OF OUR NATION ARE WHETHER WE CAN RE-INHABIT OUR HOMELAND AND WHETHER WE HAVE THE NATIONAL IDENTITY TO DO SO.

This is the basis of everything, the alpha and the omega.

RECOGNISING THIS, THE SIGNIFICANCE OF MANY OF THE GOVERNMENT'S STRATEGIC ACTIONS, SUCH AS THE UNPRECEDENTED FAMILY POLICY, WHICH IS UNIQUE IN THE WORLD, BECOMES CLEAR.

The population of the dismembered Hungary was at its highest in 1981, when 10 709 000 people lived in what was left of the country. In 2011, the population fell below ten million, and today we are down by another million, with 9 678 000 citizens at the beginning of this year, according to the latest figures.

Although the decline has been steady, population loss - or the shrinking of the population - has started to slow down over the last decade. Though the positive trend was somewhat set back by the coronavirus epidemic, then by the US-Russia war in Ukraine and the anti-European rampage of the corrupt and dictatorial Eurocracy, longer-term data from the Central Statistical Office show that, if not yet a breakthrough, a cautious turnaround is already underway. Indeed, since 2011, the number of births has been slowly rising year by year, with only slight fluctuations. The best year of the last decade in this respect was 2016, when 93 063 children were born. The number of deaths has also started to slowly decline, although the epidemic caused a temporary spike in 2020 and especially in 2021, but as the pandemic settled down, the number of deaths started to fall again.

The number of marriages has doubled in ten years, while divorces are on the decline, as are suicides. The darkest year was 1983, when 4,911 people took their own lives. Until 2019, the number of suicides fell steadily, with minor fluctuations, to 1,550. In 2020, the psychosis caused by the coronavirus epidemic led to a slightly higher number of 1,706 suicides, and in 2021, 1,561, meaning that the downward trend has been reversed.

THE MOST PROMISING IS THE DECLINE IN FOETICIDE.

The communist dictatorship did not spare the unborn Hungarians either, allowing abortion virtually unrestricted in 1956, and as a result of the distortion of the national soul, artificially and deliberately subverted, Satan ran rampant for decades. Every year from 1959 to 1973, more foetuses were killed than children born. From 1956 to 2021, a total of 5 908 334 foetuses were killed in Hungary. This is the number of the victims of the genocide committed in wombs.

In the light of this social tragedy, the long-standing and significant decline in the number of foeticides is particularly appreciated.

In 1990, more than 90,000 people were still not allowed to be born, at the turn of the millennium 59,249 foetuses were killed, in 2010 40,449 lives were extinguished in wombs, in 2020 23,901, and in the most recent year for which statistics are available, 2021, 21,907. This means that the number of abortions has almost halved in ten years and the total fertility rate has risen from a low of 1.23 in 2011 to 1.59 in 2021. While it takes a rate of 2.1 to maintain the population (according to professional consensus), a figure not reached since 1977, the trend is promising, especially when we know that a rate of 1.59 was reached in 2021 for the first time since 1994.

ALL THIS SHOWS THAT THE HUNGARIAN PEOPLE, AFTER A HUNDRED YEARS OF STOOPING, HAVE STRAIGHTENED UP AND WANT TO LIVE AGAIN.

And this is of crucial importance, especially in the knowledge that Western Europe is paralysed, self-loathing and marching into oblivion with an unshakable madness, chanting the slogans of ideologies that reek of death. The reason for this is the atheistic, materialistic soul-killing with which once great nations were cut off from their past, and thus from the knowledge of themselves.

In our country, too, the national soul has received poignant wounds. Both our recent past and our ancestral history have been systematically falsified by our enemies, who have falsely called us the last worthless retainers, oppressors of other peoples, disintegrating tyrants, who learned all forms of civilisation from others, who fled headlong into our country, eternal losers. Many have distorted our history to make us forget who we are. And although this destruction has unfortunately not been ineffective, moreover, anti-Hungarian and anti-Christian circles continue to hold their positions in many battlefields of consciousness formation,

THE MOST IMPORTANT ADVANCE IN HUNGARIAN HISTORIOGRAPHY IN THE LAST ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY YEARS, THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE INSTITUTE OF HUNGARIAN RESEARCH, CANNOT BE HAILED AND CELEBRATED ENOUGH.

In just three years, this uniquely successful intellectual workshop has systematically brought together the latest, internationally peer-reviewed findings from a wide range of disciplines, including archaeogenetics, which is a major force in the natural sciences, and

HAS RETURNED TO THE NATION THEIR TRUE PAST, RE-ESTABLISHING THE TRUTHS OF OUR CHRONICLES AND POPULAR CONSCIOUSNESS,

which had been expunged from history with defiant insolence by malicious adventurers of foreign origin, and with sheer blunt violence in the absence of scientific facts.

It is now an indisputable fact that the Hungarians are the organic heirs of the Scythians, the Huns and the Avars, in short, of the Eurasian archery culture of the Steppe, the first representatives of which were demonstrably present in the Carpathian Basin six thousand years ago at the latest. There is no longer any question that a significant proportion of the Avars spoke Hungarian, and it is also clear that some of the Huns were already Christians - and it is in this light that the Scourge of God, Attila the Hun, who was punishing the West then drowning in aberrations and cynicism, should be interpreted.

THE HEIR TO THOUSANDS OF YEARS OF CULTURE AND CIVILISATION, THE HUNGARIANS ARE A UNIQUE NATION, WHOSE MOST WONDERFUL ACHIEVEMENT AMONG MANY OTHERS IS THAT THEY HAVE ALWAYS WITHSTOOD EVERY ADVERSITY, HAVE ALWAYS BEEN ABLE TO REORGANISE THEMSELVES AND SURVIVE.

The soul of the nation has preserved the body of the nation, and although the dramatic loss of life during the Ottoman invasion of the Middle Ages was a demographic factor in the dismemberment of the country by Freemasonry at Trianon, it is good to be aware of the fact that Hungary has existed under this name for over a thousand years. And this is due to the fact that we have a different culture, different roots, a different world view, a different way of thinking and a different mother tongue. What others cannot even imagine, we can achieve.

That is why we, Hungarians cannot accept any justification for paralysing fatalism, for resignation, for regarding any historical loss as an irreversible fate.

WHAT EXISTED IN THE PAST CAN EXIST IN THE FUTURE, EVEN IF IT DOES NOT EXIST TODAY - PROVIDED THE NATIONAL SPIRIT IS HEALTHY.

The soul of the Hungarian nation is healing, and therefore the body of the nation is also recovering. Hungarians no longer walk with their heads bowed down by the wall, but with our heads held high, our eyes raised to the historical horizon, we set ourselves great goals, and we find the means to achieve them.

WE GUARD THE NATIONAL SOUL, WE BUILD THE NATION, BECAUSE WATER RUNS, STONE REMAINS, AND WE BELIEVE IN AN ETERNAL DIVINE TRUTH, WE BELIEVE IN THE RESURRECTION OF HUNGARY."
