Transylvania is eternal
For about a thousand years Transylvania was part of the Kingdom of Hungary. The Bethlen family also had one of its ancient estate centres here, in Keres, in southern Transylvania, where children's camps will be held in the summer.
The Institute of Hungarian Research has also been involved in preparing the camp's professional programme.
As a continuation of the discussions in Gyulafehérvár at Christmas, Gábor Horváth-Lugossy, Director General, and Csaba Hidán, our Senior Researcher, received Csaba Böjte, the founder of the St. Francis Foundation in Déva and of the St. László Foundation, with concrete proposals in our institute this afternoon.
Brother Csaba was pleased to receive our programme proposals, which include traditional and historical lectures, so we will start elaborating them in detail so that everything will be ready for the children by summer.
In addition, at the request of Brother Csaba, the Institute of Hungarian Research, in connection with the Without Borders programme, will soon develop a historical study tour package focusing on Déva.
